I'm sure I saw a thread in this area before about doing this trip. But I couldn't seem to find it.
Who has a good route? What is to be looked out for? Any general advice?

Jay Cooke State park is a nice place to crash for the night, however there are stealth camping opportunities along the trail. |

Er, get out of the 694/494 ring.
Go up on the Sunrise Trail from Hugo to North Branch. Go on 61 from North Branch to Hinkley. Go on the Munger Trail from Hinkley to Duluth.
