Too bad I had to miss this one - I did that ride with Mark W last year and liked it a lot.
I would encourage anybody to post a ride if they are looking for a leisurely ramble and I am sure gna would be on board with that as well. I've been remiss in keeping this active, but thanks gna for organizing this one!

I did that ride with other people. Stopped at Truffles and Tortes in Anoka. It reminded me of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP1KxPjh4RM

I can't make every ride, but I think it would be terrific if we got more easy going rides going. biker7 wrote: Sounds like fun. I hope to join you on one of these rides. Any chance that you'd ride on Saturday or perhaps a Sunday afternoon? Here's the schedule: http://metrotransit.org/Schedules/WebSchedules.aspx?route=888&service=2On Saturday, the train arrives at 11:12 and leaves at 11:30. It's doable. kuando wrote: I did that ride with other people. Stopped at Truffles and Tortes in Anoka. I've been trying to figure out some sort of ride with Amtrak, Friends of the 261, or the Osceola & St. Croix Railroad, but haven't been able to come up with anything.

How about Saturday, July 21 for a ride? Route and time are flexible for me. There's a new place in St. Paul that I kind of want to check out but I'll ride anywhere, really. If you have a route idea, chime in because I am all about being flexible. Free TC3-SAS spoke cards for anyone that shows up as well... EDIT - and we are on Facebook!

So, let's set up a ride! When: Saturday (8/4) morning, let's say 9am. Where: Minnehaha Falls. What: Something like this and maybe some lunch or ice cream at Sea Salt afterwards. Why: Because. How: On a 3-speed (or a bike you don't mind riding at a 3-speed pace). Timing is negotiable -- if something else works better for people, let me know! I could also do Sunday. Route is negotiable, too, from changing to clockwise or going somewhere else entirely. It's just easier to set something up if you set something up. If nothing gets set up, I'll probably do the ride above anyway. Fair warning: I've done this ride several times, but to be honest I always find exciting new ways to get from the Greenway to the correct path on Lake Calhoun. I don't get _lost,_ just turned around sometimes.

Bump.
This ride is happening tomorrow morning. As an added enticement to come out, I happen to know that if we stop at the Midtown Farmer's market and donate blood, we can get a FREE tote-bag.
That's a free bag, people...
