Ok, how about a lazy ride around the minnehaha pkwy/lakes this weekend to scope out clue-worthy hiding spots? I figure we bring something along to write notes with. I think I can tag the spots on my GPS to be totally geek like, but the idea is to find 12-20 spots you can see from the trail that clever (hopefully rhyming) clues can be written about. For the kids being pulled via trailer, it would be nice if mom or dad could tell them something obvious to look for, so that they are actually participating in the hunt.
Does Saturday or Sunday work better for people? Saturday morning or afternoon works for me, as does Sunday afternoon.

With the help of Lowrah and poorimpulse control, I have scoped out and taken notes and photographs for egghiding spots, about 12 appropriate for kids, a half-dozen or so appropriate for hipsters (i.e., a little harder to get to).
The kid spots will be marked on the manifest, which will also include clues. I want to get a head count of kids so I can make sure each kid-specific hiding spot will have enough eggs so that every kids can find one. I am filling the plastic eggs with candy for the kids.
Reverborama, did you find anything you're willing to donate in your shop? Doesn't actually have to fit in the egg--we can put a coupon for items that are too large in the actual egg.
The hipster eggs will be first to get there gets it.
If you want to help write clues (which will dq you from the hipster hunt, obviously), send me a pm. I also need volunteers to hide the actual eggs the night before or the morning of the ride on April 11.

Ted, I will be there, I will bring my two kids, they are 9 and 11 so you can pro'bly make the hiding place difficult if you want and I can steer them away from the mord obvious ones for the little kids. Anytime Sinday morning or earlier afternoon works for us, if you're still setting the time.
Happy "Oestre" everyone!

How does ten o'clock next Sunday work for people?
Also, I need to start getting a headcount of the kids that are coming at least.
Daddio, +2 kids Euterpe +1 kid roasterboy +1 kid? who else?
I going to buy the eggs and candy tomorrow (should be cheap, eh?) and I want make sure every kid gets a little egg in every hiding spot.
Also, Lowrah and I will be meeting at the bluemoon after trailwatch (approx. 10:15 or so) to write up some clues. Anyone who wants to help is welcome, but it will disqualify you from the non-kid hunt. If you want to help write clues for your kid, I have no problem with that. We want all of those to be found relatively easily.
